Mrs. Nithya, a 37 yrs old female, sustained complex injury to her left knee due to fall from a bike and had posterior knee dislocation. Her ACL & PCL ligaments were completely torn.
Our ortho team led by Dr.Vinoth successfully reconstructed her ACL & PCL ligaments using tendon graft harvested from her leg and hamstrings. She has recovered well and will be back to normal work soon. Post OP rehabilitation is reduced substantially because of arthroscopic repair of her ligament injuries.
Medial & lateral collateral ligaments of the knee can be also reconstructed arthroscopically.
